About
That plan did not work, the more they afflicted the Israelites the more they multiplied and grew more in number the Egyptians were grieved because of the of their growth.
The king came up with a new idea, he told the midwives to kill all male babies and save the girls. This plan did not work because the midwives feared God and they did not do as they were asked to do. When that did not work the king commanded that all male children be thrown into the river. Moses’ mother decided there must be a way out. She hid the child for three months, then when it was impossible to hide him she still believed there was a way out still. She made a basket and decided to put the baby in the basket, took the basket to the river most likely the same river that he should have been thrown in and placed the basket there to float with the older sister Miriam watching him.
The bible says the king’s daughter saw the basket and requested for it to be brought to her. When she had opened it the bible says “And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the baby wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, this is one of the Hebrews’ children.” Exo 2:6.
The people with mental illness suffer a lot and have a stigma together with their loved ones that we can help them unburden. Mental illness is a sickness just like any other sickness. Once one has been diagnosed with this condition, with compassion immediate help should be offered to the individual and their family where possible there is a way out.
Counseling is so needed to these individuals immediately the diagnosis has been given. Because of the condition of the illness at times the individual might make a poor judgement that lands them in jail or even prison.
Needy Cases sees a way out by working closely with the court systems and the probation office to have the inmate evaluated faster and placed in the right unity within the jail.
